As a dental practice we collect information needed to provide safe, appropriate care. This may include your name, date of birth, contact details, Medicare number, health fund or DVA card details, emergency contacts, and health information such as your medical and dental history, medications, allergies, clinical notes, radiographs and photographs, and referral correspondence.
How We Collect It
Most information is collected directly from you through registration and medical history forms, during consultations, and when you contact us by phone, email or our website forms. With your consent, we may also receive information from your GP, specialists, previous dentists, your health fund, Services Australia or the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
Why We Collect It
We use your information to provide dental care and advice, manage appointments and reminders, process payments and claims with Medicare, health funds, HICAPS, the CDBS and DVA, communicate with other treating practitioners where clinically appropriate, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations. We do not use your health information for marketing without your consent, and you can opt out of appointment reminders and practice communications at any time.
Disclosure
Your information may be shared with other health practitioners involved in your care such as specialists and dental laboratories, with Services Australia, DVA or your health fund for claiming purposes, and where required or authorised by law. We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose it to overseas recipients in the ordinary course of practice. Some software providers we use may store data securely on servers located in Australia or overseas; where this occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable privacy protections apply.
Storage and Security
Records are held in secure practice management systems with access limited to authorised staff. We use technical and physical safeguards including password controls, backups and secure premises. Records are retained for the periods required by law, and disposed of securely when no longer required.

Our website may use cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Forms submitted through the website are transmitted securely and handled in line with this policy. Our website may link to external sites; we are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
Access and Correction

We will respond within a reasonable period. In limited circumstances access may be declined where the law permits, and we will explain why in writing.
